Vijay Singh leads another PGA tournament

PALM HARBOR, Fla., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Vijay Singh, the world's No. 1 golfer, shot a 4-under 67 Saturday to take the third-round lead in the Chrysler Championship.

Singh, at 12-under 201 holds a one-stroke margin over Tommy Armour III.

If Singh finishes better than a tie for sixth Sunday, he will become the first player in PGA Tour history to earn more than $10 million in a single season. If he wins, it will be his 10th victory this year.

Armour shot a 68 Saturday. Jesper Parnevik and Kirk Triplett also had 68s and share third place at 10-under 203.

Two-time Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal (67) and Tom Carter (65), both in danger of losing their PGA Tour cards, are tied for fifth at 205.

Jeff Sluman (74), who shared the 36-hole lead, is tied for seventh place with David Toms (67), Robert Allenby (69), Carl Pettersson (71) and Tim Herron (67) at 206.
