Manning wins another Player of Week award

NEW YORK, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning won his seventh Player of the Week award for his performance against the Green Bay Packers.

Manning was named the top offensive player in the AFC. Jacksonville cornerback Rashean Mathis was the top defensive player and Houston kicker Kris Brown was chosen for the special teams award.

The winners in the NFC were Minnesota quarterback Daunte Culpepper, Seattle cornerback Ken Lucas and New Orleans kicker John Carney.

Mannng tossed five touchdown passes in a 45-31 win over the Packers. Mathis had seven tackles and an interception against Tennessee and Brown kicked a 50-yard game-winning field goal against Kansas City.

Culpepper passed for 360 yards and two touchdowns against Chicago, Lucas had four tackles and an interception against San Francisco and Carney hit five of six field goals against St. Louis.
