Top seed pulls out of rain-delayed Prokom

SOPOT, Poland, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Top-seeded French Open champion Anastasia Myskina of Russia pulled out of the rain-delayed Idea Prokom Tennis Open at Sopot, Poland Friday.

Myskina was to have met 11th-seeded Czech Klara Koukalova in the rescheduled semifinals Saturday. She said she would explain her move at a news conference Saturday.

The other women's semifinal match pits ninth-seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta and Polish wild card Marta Domachowska.

The men's quarterfinal matches also were postponed until Saturday, including the featured meeting between sixth-seeded Spaniard Rafael Nadal and 2002 runner-up Franco Squillari.

The other quarters will pit Spaniard Felix Mantilla against Chilean Adrian Garcia, 2002 Idea Prokom winner Jose Acasuso versus Czech Jiri Vanek and Argentine Juan Monaco against Spaniard Marc Lopez.

More rain is forecast for Saturday.
