MLB: Milwaukee 5, Cincinnati 0

MILWAUKEE, July 10 (UPI) -- Cincinnati had five hits in eight innings against Ben Sheets and lost Ken Griffey Jr., to a strained hamstring Saturday in a 5-0 loss to Milwaukee.

Voted an All-Star starter, Griffey was injured in the fourth inning while chasing Brady Clark's triple off Cory Lidle (6-7). He is slated to return to Cincinnati for an MRI.

Reds first baseman Sean Casey will miss the All-Star Game due to a calf injury.

Clark was caught in a rundown trying to steal home, but Reds catcher Javier Valentin threw over third base, allowing a run to score that made it 3-0.

Sheets (9-5) struck out eight and walked one. Luis Vizcaino pitched a perfect ninth to complete the five-hitter for the Brewers.

In the Milwaukee second, Lyle Overbay led off with a single, stole second and scored on Clark's double. One inning later, Scott Podsednik scored on Geoff Jenkins's grounder.
