NBA: Toronto 87, Detroit 78

TORONTO, April 13 (UPI) -- Donyell Marshall had 27 points and 16 rebounds Tuesday as Toronto snapped Detroit's eight-game winning streak with an 87-78 triumph.

Vince Carter scored 19 points and rookie Chris Bosh added 12 points and 13 rebounds for Toronto (32-49), which won for just the second time in 12 games. The Raptors conclude their season at Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Tayshaun Prince scored 21 points and Ben Wallace 15 for the Pistons (54-28), who will be the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Detroit, which placed guard Chauncey Billups on the injured list before the game with a sprained left ankle, also rested banged-up forward Rasheed Wallac.

Toronto saw a 13-point lead late in the third quarter whittled to 79-74 on a pair of free throws by Pistons center Mehmet Okur with 2:45 remaining. Marshall countered with a three-pointer, and Detroit got no closer than six points thereafter.
