NHL: Atlanta 3, Florida 0

SUNRISE, Fla., March 27 (UPI) -- Rookie Kari Lehtonen stopped 30 shots for his first NHL shutout Saturday as Atlanta set a club record with its 32nd victory, 3-0 over Florida.

Dany Heatley recorded his first two-goal game of the season.

Selected second overall in the 2002 draft, Lehtonen made his third career start. He beat Florida in his NHL debut on March 19, beat Washington on Wednesday and handled the Panthers again to remain unbeaten.

The 20-year-old Finn helped Atlanta kill five power plays and improve to 5-1-1-1 in its last eight games.

Ilya Kovachuk had two assists. The All-Star winger set up Patrik Stefan's 14th goal at 3:34 of the first period and Heatley's power-play taly 76 seconds into the second.

Heatley, who had 10 multi-goa games last season, capped the scoring by finishing off an odd-man rush at 14:43 of the third for his 11th goal.
