NBA: Portland 109, Sacramento 104

SACRAMENTO, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Derek Anderson scored 12 of his 29 points in overtime Tuesday night as the Portland Trail Blazers won at Sacramento, 109 -104.

Portland, the league's worst road team, bounced back from a collapse in regulation in the toughest place to win in the NBA.

Coach Maurice Cheeks openly wept following Sunday's loss at Phoenix, clearly frustrated with a struggling team that had lost nine of 10, but Anderson dominated the extra period, scoring all of his team's points as Portland snapped a five-game slide against the best home team in the league.

The Trail Blazers won despite losing star forward Rasheed Wallace in the opening minute of overtime after he committed his sixth foul. He had 26 points and 15 rebounds.

The Trail Blazers won for just the third time in 20 road games this season while Sacramento was handed its third loss in 24 games at Arco Arena.
