Weekly NFL honorees named

NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Baltimore quarterback Anthony Wright is among the players earning NFL honors for Week 12 of the 2003 season.

Wright, who engineered a miraculous comeback against Seattle, was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. He was joined by Miami defensive end Jason Taylor (defense) and Tennessee kick returner Justin McCareins (special teams).

The NFC honorees were Green Bay running back Ahman Green (offense), Minnesota cornerback Brian Williams (defense), and Chicago placekicker Paul Edinger (special teams).

Wright helped the Ravens beat the Seahawks in overtime, 44-41, erasing a 17-point fourth quarter deficit. The normal backup, subbing for the injured Kyle Boller, had his career day while knowing that his pregnant wife was about to go into labor.

Nicole Wright have birth to the couple's second child Sunday night. Her husband went 20-of-37 for 319 yards, a team record four touchdown passes, and no interceptions.

Among other superlatives, McCareins had touchdowns on a 58-yard punt return and a 14-yard pass as the Titans rallied from 21 down to beat Atlanta, 38-31.
