Milwaukee 6, Texas 5 (10 inn.)

SURPRISE, Ariz., March 26 (UPI) -- Wes Helms delivered a run-scoring single in the top of the 10th inning Wednesday, giving the Milwaukee Brewers a 6-5 victory over the Texas Rangers.

Helms, who finished three for five, produced the winning hit off Aaron Fultz. Richie Sexson and Royce Clayton each had two hits for the Brewers.

Rangers rookie Mark Teixeira hit his eighth spring homer, a three-run shot in the seventh off John Foster.

Ben Sheets, who will start for the Brewers on Opening Day, yielded two runs and 11 hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out three.

Shane Nance gave up two hits in two scoreless innings for the win and Mike Buddie worked around a walk in the 10th for his first save.

Rangers starter Colby Lewis gave up four runs and six hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out three.
