VERO BEACH, Fla., March 5 (UPI) -- Prospect Jody Gerut homered twice and Bill Selby drove in three runs Wednesday as the Cleveland Indians pounded the Los Angeles Dodgers, 16-6, in Grapefruit League play.

Playing in right field, Gerut hit his second and third homers of the spring off starter Wilson Alvarez, who was tagged for five runs and six hits in three innings.

Casey Blake had three hits, including a homer, and Coco Crisp doubled and homered for Cleveland, which collected 22 hits.

Winner Jason Bere allowed a run and three hits over three

innings of relief.

Brian Anderson started for the Indians and gave up three runs and five hits in three innings.

Fred McGriff and Jolbert Cabrera homered for the Dodgers.
