MINNEAPOLIS, June 11 (UPI) -- Tom Glavine pitched seven scoreless innings and Andruw Jones, Vinny Castilla and Matt Franco hit consecutive homers in a seven-run fifth inning as the Atlanta Braves coasted Tuesday night to an 11-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
Keith Lockhart and Javier Lopez also homered for the Braves, who won for the seventh time in eight games.
After losing a 15-inning game on Monday that lasted almost 4 1/2 hours, the Braves decided things in a hurry on Tuesday. Atlanta broke open the game in the fifth, hitting three straight homers for the first time since Ryan Klesko, Fred McGriff and David Justice connected off St. Louis' Rick Sutcliffe on April 18, 1994.
That was more than enough for Glavine (11-2), who has not lost since May 12. The two-time Cy Young Award winner, who was pitching against Minnesota for the first time since the 1991 World Series, allowed just two hits, walking one and striking out two.
Darren Holmes and Albie Lopez eached worked a hitless inning to complete the win.
The Braves did most of their damage off Kyle Lohse (6-4), who was tagged for seven runs and nine hits in four plus innings. Lohse allowed the first three homers with Bob Wells allowing the blasts to Franco and Lopez.
