The Sniper ATP is a single unit used to enhance image clarity for long-range target identification in real time for the laser-guided engagement of moving targets.

The Moroccan air force takes deliver of the Sniper ATP during the next two years in support of its aircraft integration and fielding, said Lockheed Martin.

"We look forward to working with the Royal Moroccan air force to provide the multimission-capable sniper pod for their F-16 aircraft," said Hulan Woods, program manager of Sniper ATP Morocco at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

The Sniper ATP has deployed in theater with 11 international air force units as well as the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard since January 2005.

The U.S. military and international forces use the Sniper ATP on the F-16, F-15 Eagle, B-1 Lancer, F-18 Hornet, Harrier, A-10 Thunderbolt II and Tornado aircraft.
