UNDT's detection kits certified by DHS

LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- Universal Detection Technology announced its handheld threat-detection kits have received a certification by the U.S. Homeland Security Department.

U.S. company UNDT, a developer of biological terrorism early warning technologies, says its bio-detection kits have received a Homeland Security Department certification approving the detection technology as an approved product for homeland security.

The certification is under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act passed by Congress in 2002 to ensure that the threat of liability does not deter companies from developing counter-terrorism technologies.

"The size and ease of use of these kits makes them ideal for emergency situations where time is of the essence," Jacques Tizabi, UNDT chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"UNDT's kits are some of the most user friendly and accurate products currently on the market."
