SPAWAR selects FGM to support NECC

RESTON, Va., July 6 (UPI) -- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific has contracted FGM Inc. to support the Defense Information Systems Agency's Net Enabled Command Capability.

U.S. company FGM was awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract worth approximately $60 million from SPAWAR Pacific to provide engineering services to the NECC. FGM will lead a team that includes Amyx Inc., CACI International Inc., DISC/BIT, Knowledge Consulting Group and TeleConsultants Inc.

The NECC is expected to provide technical operations, integrated logistics and test support among other services as part of the Defense Department's plan to evolve the "current Global Command and Control System Family of Systems to a network-centric, single architecture," a news release said.

"FGM has a long history of serving DISA and has supported the successful evolution of the NECC program since its inception," Scott Gessay, FGM president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"FGM is looking forward to leveraging 20 years of corporate experience providing high-end systems engineering for command and control systems to … deliver the next-generation operational system to the warfighter."
