SAIC to support STRATCOM strategy analysis

SAN DIEGO, March 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Strategic Command has contracted Science Applications International Corp. to support programs and strategy analysis.

U.S. company SAIC said the follow-on contract from STRATCOM is potentially worth $900 million if all options are exercised.

SAIC, which has worked for STRATCOM for more than two decades, will provide technical assistance and analysis support for STRATCOM programs and strategies, including combating weapons of mass destruction, cyberspace operations and strategic deterrence.

"We look forward to continuing our 22-year relationship with this important customer by delivering quality services that help them accomplish their critical missions," Bev Seay, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.
