TEL AVIV, Israel, May 15 (UPI) -- The former head of Israel's military intelligence is warns of an impending world jihad of terrorism.
Aharon Ze'evi, speaking at the Jaffe Center for Strategic Studies, said the Internet had made bomb-making knowledge widely available and with the radicalization of Islamic militancy, everywhere was a target.
Ha'aretz reported Monday that Ze'ev warned the world should take to heart the threat of Iran, which with it missiles could strike European cities.
What he called a "tsunami" of jihad, or holy war, could also include a conventional conflict in the Middle East, possibly erupting along Israel's northern frontier, with Syria and Hezbollah, the Islamist group that is also supported by Iran.
Ze'evi retired as head of Israel's military intelligence four months ago.
