SEATTLE, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- A new communication technique can let wireless devices talk to each other without needing batteries, researchers at the University of Washington say.
The technique, dubbed "ambient backscatter," takes advantage of TV and cellular transmissions surrounding us 24 hours a day, they reported.
