Chrome can store webpages in Google Drive

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Google says a new extension available for its Chrome browser will allow users to save content from the Web to their Google Drive in the cloud.

Once the extension is installed, Chrome users will see an additional icon that will enable them to save Web images or pages to their Google Drive account, Mashable reported.

The extension will also allow the saving of the HTML source code of a webpage or a complete webpage in Web archive format.

Once Web content is stored in a user's drive, they can access additional options, including sharing it with other users or gathering several pieces of content from the Internet into a folder.

In addition to the Chrome upgrade, Google has provided users with new tools for images they store in Drive, including zoom by scrolling, new "fit to page" and "100 percent" buttons, and the ability to add comments to a specific area of an image.
