China orders Israeli security fence sensor

YAHUD, Israel, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Israel's Magal Security Systems will install a security perimeter around China's Nanchang Airport, the company announced Tuesday.

The order for Magal's fence-mounted fiber sensor follows an order for the product last month from China's Zhengzhou Airport.

"Almost every airport in China has selected a different combination of our technologies, be it taut-wire fence, fence-mounted vibration sensor, a microphonic cable, microwaves, buried cable or the fence-mounted fiber detector," Eitan Livneh, president and chief executive officer of Magal S3 said in a Tuesday news release. "We are encouraged by the steady investment in airport security -- an important vertical market for Magal S3."

Magal S3 is a leading international provider of security, safety and site management solutions and products in three main areas: perimeter intrusion detection systems; closed-circuit TV; and physical security information management.

Additional details on the contract weren't disclosed.
