Regency officials said the expansion brings the total investments in the regional gas play to $790 million aimed at meeting production demands.

As part of the expansion, Regency plans to install several miles of pipelines in the area and install a gas treating facility in DeSoto Parish that will have the capacity to produce as much as 300 million cubic feet of gas per day.

Regency also plans to increase delivery capacities for gas pipeline systems in Tennessee and Louisiana.

Construction on the expansion is scheduled for December with a completion date targeted for the second quarter of 2010.
