OTTAWA, April 12 (UPI) -- A Canadian seller has put what he says is an extremely rare prototype of the first Apple Macintosh up for auction, with an opening bid of $99,995.

The seller of the eBay auction, going by the user name "Woz," says the computer is the only example to feature the 5.25-inch floppy disk drive that had featured in the Apple Lisa computer, The Daily Telegraph reported.

When the first Apple Mac did go into production in 1984 it shipped with smaller 3.5-inch drives after productions problems forced Apple to give up on the larger format.

"This is the only one!" "Woz" wrote in the eBay listing, noting it includes the original keyboard, mouse and power lead.

"The computer and keyboard are authentic and original, dated 1982-83. The computer and its keyboard were acquired together and complete, and have not been pieced together from miscellaneous parts."

The lister said he has nothing to do with Steve Wozniak, Apple's cofounder.

"I am not Steve Wozniak, nor am I attempting to impersonate him," he said. "My sincere apologies to you Steve, if this listing causes you any problems."
