Florida police are on the lookout for a Bad Santa who used a wrapped gift that he claimed was an explosive device to rob the SunTrust Bank in Port Orange on Monday.

The naughty Santa Claus entered the bank, placed the wrapped gift on the counter, and told tellers, “This is not a joke.”

The suspect, who was dressed in a Santa Claus hat, beard and white gloves, then handed over a note demanding cash and advising that his gift contained an explosive device.

After being given an undisclosed amount of cash, the Santa impersonator made his getaway in a dark-colored vehicle instead of a sleigh.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office bomb squad determined the gift was not actually an explosive device.

The suspect was still on the loose as of Monday afternoon.
