Alicia Cooper filed the writ after she had the water that she consumed tested.
"Instantly I knew something was not right, I just knew," Cooper said. "I thought 'oh my gosh, there's something wrong with my water.’”
Cooper is seeking damages for economic loss, medical expenses and compensation for symptoms and stress she had endured since drinking the tainted water.
The man named in the suit, Dahn Le, no longer owns the business.
"I can't even make decisions on what to eat. It's really affected me so much," Cooper said. "You don't think anything like this would happen to you? It was just so hurtful. It's been so humiliating."
A DNA sample from Le confirmed that he was a match for the sperm detected in the bottled water.
When Cooper ingested the water, she noticed it "had a bad taste and smell.”
Her lawyer, Jacinta O'Connor, said the specially-spiked beverage has had a "devastating and lasting impact" on Cooper’s life.
"My client has suffered significant emotional harm and financial losses which we claim are the result of this man's disturbing actions,” O'Connor said.
