Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts police department said a driver is facing charges for making their own license plate out of a pizza box and magic markers.

The Hopkinton Police Department said the driver of a Buick Century was pulled over when police noticed the vehicle's license plate was an obvious forgery.

The department said in a Facebook post the driver is now facing charges.

The post read:

"Here's a little advice to those aspiring to make their own license plates...

1. Don't.

2. But if you do, make sure not to use cardboard from a pizza box and magic markers.

Charges for this creative operator include operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and attaching 'fake home made' plates."
