"In case you are wondering, homemade cardboard license plates are NOT legal," they wrote in the Facebook post.
Schweickert was seen driving with the cardboard plate, painted to resemble a New York plate, on the back of her car and no front plate.
Officers also discovered that she was driving with a suspended license and no insurance, as she was charged with possession of a forged instrument, driving with a suspended registration and three traffic offenses.
She was held at Erie County Holding center with a bail of $400 in advance of her hearing.
