Deer box on hind legs on Tennessee trail footage

June 23 (UPI) -- A trail camera in western Tennessee recently captured footage of a short boxing bout between two bucks.

In the video, posted on the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Facebook page Wednesday, the deer stand on their hind legs while punching each other with their front legs.

Two of the agency's wildlife officers, Amy and Bubba Spencer, operated the trail camera that shot the video in Hardeman County just east of Memphis, the agency wrote on Facebook.

WATE reported that male deer sometimes fight in this manner while living among "bachelor groups" during the spring and summer.
