Leopard wanders into neighborhood, enters family's home

April 27 (UPI) -- A home-invading leopard that stormed through an Indian neighborhood was captured after a five-hour chase through the residential area.

The leopard was spotted Thursday morning in the Sohna, Gurgaon district, and local wildlife authorities cordoned off the area while attempting to capture the big cat.

The leopard reportedly entered at least one home while running rampant through the neighborhood. Five residents were trapped inside the house for hours while authorities worked to capture the feline.

Police said the leopard was tranquilized and captured after a five hour pursuit.
