Feb. 6 (UPI) -- An Oregon police department announced the capture of a "Notorious" suspect on the loose for months -- a trouble-making pig dubbed "Piggy Smalls."

The Forest Grove Police Department said the potbelly pig was apprehended Friday by a "joint task force" composed of the department's code enforcement officer and a representative of Home Sweet Home Properties.

"Smalls, alias 'Notorious,' has been frequently reported loose to the Forest Grove Police by numerous citizens, his actions having been published several times in the weekly Police Log. He has eluded capture by authorities until now," the department said in a Facebook post.

"Smalls will be released to the custody of an animal rescue outside the city," the post said.

Police logs show the pig was first spotted on the loose in November -- an eventful month for the department, police logs reveal.

In addition to multiple sightings of Piggy Smalls, the police log for November lists events including:

"A man reported his neighbor had just hit a tree with a pipe. Police contacted the neighbor who explained he was just practicing his martial arts moves."

"A woman reported finding her vehicle in a different place from where she had parked it. Upon further reflection, she thought it was possible she forgot that she parked it at the location."

"Police reviewed a report from Children's Services that Grandma was using the 'F' word around the grandkids. No crime was determined."

"A caller reported a subject with a plastic bag over his head riding a motorized cart. An officer determined it not a person or a cart, but was a wagon covered in plastic."

"A clerk locked himself out of a local convenience store again. A customer was able to assist prior to police arrival."

"Police contacted a man in a vehicle parked in front of a bus stop. The man was barefoot and was asked about the large amount of blisters on his feet. The man stated he was hiking in India and believed there were worms in his feet. He declined any offer of assistance."

"Officers helped free a dog that unsuccessfully attempted to escape home through a dryer vent."
