The owners said the mistake was an easy one, as the numbers are only one digit apart -- the White House line is 202-456-1111, while the deli's is 202-457-1111.
The eatery said it has received about 100 calls complaining about the new president since the typo was tweeted. Employees said some callers continue to rant about Trump even after being told they have the wrong number.
Arlene Wagner, co-owner of Bub and Pop's, said many of the callers were upset about Trump's cabinet picks or his plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
The restaurant offered some advice to the callers on its Facebook page:
"As many of you know we have been getting calls for the White House. I'm thinking, and this is just a suggestion, it might be better to call one of or all of the following, plus [your] own Reps.
