CUMBERLAND, British Columbia, May 12 (UPI) -- A Canadian fisherman captured video of the moment a bald eagle swooped out of the sky and stole the catch from the end of his line.

Joel Wynans posted a video to YouTube May 1 showing the result of his recent fishing excursion on Maple Lake in British Columbia.

Wynans is in the process of reeling in a fish when the eagle swoops down and snatches the catch in its talons.

The eagle flies off with the fish while Wynans lets loose a string of profanities in a seeming combination of anger and amusement.

Wynans said the eagle is well-known to locals as a menace to fishermen.
