Cohen wrote he "thought it would be cool to post a short video showing off some [of its] functionality. I'm having a ton of fun with this, but there are still quite a few issues to iron out."
The video shows how the mirror's display lights up when he tells it to "wake up," and gives him a greeting: "Hi, sexy!"
Cohen shows off how the mirror can give information including the date, time, weather and a "help" area suggesting voice commands.
The voice commands bring up information including maps and programmed reminders. He also shows in the video how he programmed the mirror to control the lights in his room.
Cohen posted the specs of his mirror on GitHub. He wrote the mirror's technology includes a Raspberry Pi computer, a USB microphone, a monitor with the bezel removed, a mirror pane and Philips Hue.
