TORONTO, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford tweeted an invitation encouraging anyone with a spare $80 to join him and brother Doug Ford for a bachelor party.

Toronto City Councilor Rob Ford, the city's former mayor who rose to international fame when he admitted to smoking crack, tweeted out the invitation authored by Doug Ford, who unsuccessfully ran to succeed his brother as mayor.

The invitation is for Doug Ford's future son-in-law's Oct. 1 "Gentleman's Dinner" stag party.

"Very proud of my niece Krista, getting married in a few short weeks! Hope to see some of you at her fiance's stag," Ford tweeted.

Doug Ford said the party is open to any of the family's "hundreds of thousands" of supporters, but the entry fee is $80.

"We don't want to insult anyone by leaving them out," Doug Ford told Buzzfeed News. "Anyone can come."

Rob Ford's public struggles with drugs and alcohol led to the creation of a stage musical, Rob Ford the Musical: Birth of a Ford Nation, and made the former mayor thousands of dollars when he auctioned off items including the tie he wore during his infamous crack smoking confession.
