Not so-smooth criminal: Man arrested after 'friending' alleged victim on Facebook

BREMERTON , Wash., June 2 (UPI) -- A 28-year-old man has been charged with second-degree robbery after he allegedly robbed a woman at a Washington ferry terminal and then asked to be her friend on Facebook the following day.

Riley Mullins is accused to hitting a woman in the back of the head and then taking off with her purse and iPod. She didn't get a good look at her attacker, but did see that he had a neck tattoo of a triangle.

The next day, she received a friend request from Mullins and recognized him as the man who allegedly robbed her.

According to the Kitsap Sun, "When she saw the picture [of the suspect] she immediately recognized him as the person who assaulted her and robbed her."

Police were able to confirm that the account belonged to Mullins and he was arrested.
