Florida man beaten, robbed, stripped naked on first date

BUNNELL, Fla., June 18 (UPI) -- A Florida man was beaten, robbed and abandoned naked on the side of a road while on a first date, police said.

Shaun Paul Williams, 34, was found nude and bloodied late Friday on the shoulder of a Bunnell road, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office case report said.

Williams told police he arranged to date a woman he met several weeks earlier in a convenience store.

She picked him up at the same store for their date, and Williams noted two unidentified men in the back seat of her car, one of whom she identified as her brother. She said she and Williams would go to dinner after she dropped off the two men, but after driving for several minutes turned onto a side street, Williams told investigators.

The car stopped, and Williams, who exited the vehicle to urinate, collapsed after he was bludgeoned twice in the face. He was relieved of his clothes and a wallet containing $200 after one of the men pointed a handgun at him, the report said.

Williams was hospitalized and treated for lacerations to his face.
