Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 18 (UPI) -- Comments by a Swedish train driver who told passengers not to give money to a beggar are "completely unacceptable," a spokesman for the commuter rail line said. The driver issued the caution after a beggar got on the train and began passing out photos of purportedly ailing family members and asking for money, TheLocal.se reported Tuesday. Advertisement Witness Stefan Godin said the driver used the train's loudspeaker system to tell riders, "Whatever you do, don't give any money and tear up the paper that this person is giving you." The driver's comments "did not feel good," Godin said. Stockholmstag, the company that operates the train, thought the driver's comments went off the tracks. "It's completely unacceptable to do something like this, as we have no lawful right to kick people off a train just because they're begging," said spokesman Mikael Lindskog.
