NASHVILLE, March 18 (UPI) -- Neighbors of Nashville's 15-foot-tall bronze sculptures of dancing nudes said unknown pranksters outfitted the statues in Irish garb for St. Patrick's Day.

Quinn O'Sullivan, owner of the neighboring Dan McGuinness Irish pub, said the six statues of the Musica sculpture were outfitted Wednesday in detailed traditional clothing, including plaid kilts, peasant blouses, Celtic brooches and at least one sword, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Thursday.

"It's probably the coolest prank ever pulled in Nashville," said Sullivan, who denied any knowledge of the prank's perpetrators.

Spokeswomen for the mayor's office and Metro Public Works laughed when asked about the prank, the Tennessean said.

"Even the police are laughing," O'Sullivan said.
