AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Jamaal Charles rushed for 290 yards and three TDs Saturday afternoon, and No. 16 Texas scored three times in the fourth quarter, in a 28-25 win over Nebraska.

While posting the fourth-highest rushing total in school history, Charles had 217 yards rushing in the fourth quarter, as the Longhorns (7-2, 3-2 Big 12) earned head coach Mack Brown his 100th career victory at the school.

Colt McCoy completed 12-of-28 passes for 181 yards and Quan Cosby caught five passes for 113 yards for Texas.

Nebraska's Sam Keller completed 23-of-35 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns, but had a late-game fumble. Marlon Lucky carried 24 times for 111 yards and Nate Swift caught six passes for 112 yards and a two touchdowns, as the Cornhuskers (4-5, 1-4) lost their fourth consecutive conference contest.

It was the first time in 46 seasons that Nebraska has lost four straight games.
