Six Palestinians were captured Sunday after they climbed over the security fence on its western side and several other Palestinians wearing Israeli military uniforms scaled the fence Saturday in early morning fog near Netiv Ha'asara, The Post reported.
"We're not surprised," Col. Moni Katz, commander of the Northern Gaza Brigade, said. "It's obvious to us that this is the reality, and the trend is apparently that it's going to continue."
Israelis are concerned the fence does not offer much security, despite assurances from the military, Netiv Ha'asara resident Micha Biton told the newspaper.
"All kinds of people come to us saying that we're not protected -- 'You think this wall protects you, but it doesn't,'" Biton said.
