N.Korea 'prince' living in luxury in Macau

SEOUL, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- North Korean leader Kim Jong Il's eldest son has been living in a luxury villa in Macau since about 10 years ago, a Seoul daily said Friday.

The report in the Chosun Ilbo came after Kim Jong Nam, 35, was spotted in Macau earlier this year. A photo allegedly showed the pudgy Kim wearing sunglasses outside a building of the former Portuguese enclave that returned to Chinese rule in 1999.

Kim has lived in an exclusive villa village in Coloane Island, 15 minutes from central Macau by car, Chosun said, citing sources in Macau. He has separate residences there for his bodyguards and frequents the five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel. He was often in the hotel's casino, restaurant, bar and sauna, the newspaper said.

Kim Jong Nam is one of three sons of Kim Jong Il, one of whom is believed to be the country's next leader.
