Megan Hilty may have been the best thing to come out of the ill-fated NBC musical drama "Smash," but thankfully, her talents did not go unappreciated.

The 32-year-old Broadway veteran landed a role on the Sean Hayes-fronted "Sean Saves the World," a comedy bowing on the Peakcock network this fall.

"Sean Saves the World" features Sean (Hayes) juggling life as the single parent of a 14-year-old daughter and a job with a temperamental new boss (Thomas Lennon). Hilty will replace Lindsay Sloane as Liz, Sean's longtime friend and a former therapist.

Hayes and Hilty previously worked together on a brief arc on the second season of "Smash."
