Savannah Guthrie to return to 'Today' after son's birth

The television anchor gave birth to son Charles on Dec. 8.

Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Savannah Guthrie announced her Today show return date Wednesday following her son's birth.

The 45-year-old television anchor will return to the NBC morning show in March after welcoming son Charles with husband Michael Feldman in December.

"Hey, little one, you're not the *only* good reason to wake up early!! I'm headed back to @TODAYshow March 3! Excited to see you all!" she captioned a photo on Instagram of herself with her son.

Guthrie and Feldman married in 2014, and are also parents to 2-year-old daughter Vale. The television personality started her maternity leave Dec. 2 and gave birth to Charles on Dec. 8.

"We are so grateful. Blessings overflow. Along with tears of joy," she tweeted after welcoming her son.

The Today favorite couldn't help but gush about her first Christmas with her family of four during a call-in to the show Dec. 27. She told her co-hosts she and her family spent a "great" holiday in "matching pajamas."

"I just felt like all my gifts were in my arms, not under the tree, and I just have not stopped feeling so much gratitude, and it's just been so fun," the star said.

Fellow Today anchor Dylan Dreyer welcomed her first child, son Calvin, with husband Brian Fichera on Dec. 17. In addition, anchor Hoda Kotb announced this week that she adopted a daughter, Haley Joy.
