LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Jurnee Smollett-Bell is a first-time mom.
The 30-year-old actress announced in an Instagram post Tuesday that she and husband Josiah Bell recently welcomed son Hunter Zion.

"Hunter Zion Bell. So in love with our little an @josiahbell," she captioned a photo of herself holding the infant.
Smollett-Bell and Bell, a 33-year-old musician known for the singles "Down" and "Love Moon," married in Los Angeles in 2010. The couple announced they were expecting in June.

"He+Me+Baby=Three. So in love with this beautiful blessing God has given us. #WeArePregnant!! @josiahbell," the actress wrote at the time.
Smollett-Bell's brother Jussie Smollett was among those to offer their congratulations after the actress announced her pregnancy. The 33-year-old actor plays Jamal Lyon on the Fox series Empire.
"My little baby is having a baby!!!!!!!!" he wrote. "@jurneebell I remember mommy giving birth to you and now you're about to have a baby of your own."
"I love you so so so so much," the star added. "This is the most blessed event in life and you & @josiahbell are built for it. Love y'all so much. #BabyBellis coming! #UncleJesseForTheSecondTime."
Smollett-Bell is known for playing Jess Merriweather on Friday Night Lights and Nicole Wright on True Blood. She presently portrays Rosalee on the WGN America series Underground, which was renewed for a second second in April.
