LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) -- LMN says it will air The Night Stalker, a new movie starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Bellamy Young, on June 12.

The adaptation of the book of the same name by Philip Carlo will first screen at the Seattle International Film Festival on June 4.

"Known to many as the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez was a cruel and prolific serial killer who murdered 14 people and terrorized Los Angeles in the summer of 1985. Though Ramirez was ultimately convicted of these atrocities and remained on death row for nearly 30 years, suspicion loomed of him having committed additional crimes," a synopsis said.

Phillips plays Ramirez in the movie, while Young portrays Kit, an attorney "who travels to San Quentin on an impossible mission to clear the name of Harrison Johnson [played by Hawthorne James,] a death row inmate in Texas whom she believes has been wrongly accused of murders perpetrated by Ramirez."
