Jake Gyllenhaal pokes fun at Amy Schumer for eating his cake

NEW YORK, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Jake Gyllenhaal poked fun at Amy Schumer for eating his cake Tuesday on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The 34-year-old actor and host Stephen Colbert dug into a replica of the birthday cake Schumer drunk-ate while renting Gyllenhaal's apartment. The actress admitted to the deed during an appearance on The Late Show last week.

Schumer and her youngest sister, Kim Caramele, rented Gyllenhaal's apartment during their stay in Los Angeles. The actress said the cake was "very old," and that she would pretend to be at the party where it was served whenever she ate.

Gyllenhaal will next star in Everest with Jason Clarke, and is also scheduled for Demolition with Naomi Watts and Nocturnal Animals with Armie Hammer. Schumer last appeared in Trainwreck, and will return for a fourth season of Inside Amy Schumer in 2016.
