'Good Wife' alum Josh Charles joins 'Masters of Sex' cast

NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- Former Good Wife cast member Josh Charles has booked a recurring role on Season 3 of Masters of Sex, Showtime announced.

Starring Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the series is to begin its third season July 12.

Charles is set to play Daniel Logan, "a self-made businessman working in the scent industry," the cable television network said in a news release.

"In an attempt to bottle the smell of sex and market an aphrodisiac to the general public, Dan seeks out Masters and Johnson's expertise on desire. A charismatic salesman, Dan's involvement with Masters and Johnson becomes complicated."
