Chris Rock, Jim Carrey booked as 'SNL' guest hosts

Carrey will host the Oct. 25 episode, while Rock will emcee the show on Nov. 1.

NEW YORK, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Jim Carrey and Chris Rock have been booked as guest hosts for upcoming episodes of the sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in New York, NBC announced Tuesday.

Carrey is to emcee SNL for the third time Oct. 25. The Golden Globe Award-winning actor will reprise his iconic role as Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber To, due in theaters Nov. 14. Iggy Azalea will make her SNL musical guest debut Oct. 25, as well. Azalea's first album The New Classic will be re-released with six new songs and the new title Re-Classified Nov. 24.

Rock, a former SNL cast member, will return to the show's Studio 8H after 18 years Nov. 1. Rock directed, wrote and stars in the feature film Top Five, a comedy which will open in limited release on Dec. 5 and roll out to theaters across the United States Dec. 12.

Prince will also make his third appearance as musical guest on the program Nov. 1. Prince released the albums ART OFFICIAL AGE and PLECTRUMELECTRUM Sept. 30.
