NEW YORK, May 7 (UPI) -- Lisa Lampanelli and Teresa Guidice have been fired from the business-themed competition show "The Celebrity Apprentice" in New York.
Guidice was fired after her team lost the challenge to create a four-page print ad campaign for the CHI Touch Digital Touchscreen hair dryer, then pitch it to Farouk Systems and Elle magazine.
E! News said Lampanelli got the boot because the show's star Donald Trump and guest judges John Rich and Marlee Matlin thought her humor was too coarse for the competition.
Still competing this season are "American Idol" veteran Clay Aiken, comedian Arsenio Hall and singer and actress Aubrey O'Day.
Already eliminated from the show were former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza, comedian Penn Jillette, "American Chopper" star Paul Teutul Sr., actor Lou Ferrigno, singers Debbie Gibson and Dee Snider, actresses Tia Carrere and Patricia Velasquez, radio host Adam Carolla, "Star Trek" actor George Takei, IndyCar team owner Michael Andretti, author Victoria Gotti and supermodel Cheryl Tiegs.
The last person standing will receive a $250,000 check to be given to a designated charity.
