Murphy crowned 'Talent' winner

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Jazz singer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. won $1 million on "America's Got Talent" in Los Angeles Wednesday.

Murphy also booked a gig to perform at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as part of the prize.

The other finalists were teen rockers PopLyfe, dancers Team iLuminate and shadow dancers The Silhouettes.

The season finale featured performances by the finalists, as well as professional artists Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, LeAnn Rimes, Cobra Starship with Sabi and OneRepublic, Tony Bennett with Queen Latifah, Jackie Evancho, Def Leppard and Cirque du Soleil.

The show's celebrity judges were Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. Nick Cannon served as host of the talent competition series.
