LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Charlie Sheen's representative said the troubled U.S. actor won't compete on the British version of the reality competition series "Celebrity Big Brother."

The former "Two and a Half Men" star's publicist told The Hollywood Reporter British media stories claiming he has agreed to appear on "Big Brother" starting this month for close to $10 million are untrue.

Sheen was fired this year from his sitcom "Two and a Half Men" after eight seasons because of his erratic behavior and substance abuse. He recently signed on to star in a comedy series based on the film "Anger Management," but it is unclear on what network the show will run.

Ivana Trump, Stephen Baldwin, Coolio, Dennis Rodman and LaToya Jackson are some of the other famous folk who have appeared on "Big Brother," a show that requires contestants to live together in a house where they are filmed constantly and have little contact with the outside world.
