LOS ANGELES, June 24 (UPI) -- Oprah Winfrey's production company says the U.S. media mogul hasn't booked an interview with O.J. Simpson, contrary to reports claiming she has. Winfrey ended her self-titled talk show last month after 25 years so she could concentrate on her OWN cable network.

After wrapping up her last episode of "Oprah," Winfrey said one of her goals for her new show "Oprah's Next Chapter" is to get Simpson to confess he killed his ex-wife and her friend in 1994.
Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of stabbing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman to death in Los Angeles, but later was found responsible for the slayings in a wrongful death civil lawsuit.
The football Hall of Famer and occasional actor, who is serving time in Nevada on armed robbery and kidnapping charges, has always denied he killed his ex-wife and her friend.
The National Enquirer reported Thursday that Simpson confirmed to Winfrey from prison he was responsible for the slayings.
However, a representative for Winfrey's production company, Harpo Inc., told The Hollywood Reporter, "That's not true."
